Unwind and enjoy the lovely charms of Gedoro in the beautiful town of Praiano, situated on the Amalfi Coast between Amalfi and Positano. With breathtaking views of the Tyrrhenian Sea, this modern and well-appointed cliffside villa maximizes comfort while emphasizing the picturesque beauty of its surroundings. Just steps from the beach, it is set on two floors and offers accommodation for up to ten guests. The architectural and natural wonders do not stop with Gedoro and Praiano, however: in addition to Amalfi and Positano, nearby are the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ravello, the small town of Furore with its fascinating fjord, Mount Vesuvius, Pompeii and its archeological treasures, and the islands of Capri and Ischia. Who says you can’t have it all? Gedoro is the perfect starting point for finding both relaxation and inspiration.

LIVING SPACES
Upper Floor: An open floor plan, featuring a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and large living area, makes it easy to entertain in this space. The kitchen features a dining table (with ten chairs) wrapped around the stove’s island. The living area offers plush seating and a large-screen TV, and a two-seat alcove under the winding stairs. The spaces are thoughtfully connected through the discerning use of colors, chevron styling, fabrics, wood, metal, glass, and lighting. Windows and mirrors show off the magnificent Tyrrhenian Sea, and the kitchen’s glass door opens onto the sea-facing terrace.

OUTDOOR FEATURES
The upper floor connects the kitchen to the terrace that offers ample seating, including six lounge chairs, ten chairs around a dining table, and two chairs and small table in an intimate awning-covered area, where guests can share time over food and drinks while taking in wondrous views of the rugged cliffs, shimmering sea, and expansive sky. A private heated swimming pool lies on one of the terraced areas below the villa. Another cozy nook, visible from the terrace, features a small lemon orchard pergola, replete with a hammock. Private parking is less than 70 steps from the Villa. Approx. 200 steps mark a direct access path to the water.

SPECIAL CHARACTERISTICS
This relaxing, contemporary, and superbly positioned villa is group-friendly and culturally inspiring. Just the right touches of convenient modernity found in the Villa and other establishments dot a landscape that is otherwise overwhelmingly rich in geological and cultural history. The epochs-built cliffsides nestle today’s Praiano and its beaches; the fjord of Furore recalls generations of fishing traditions; and nearby Mount Vesuvius and Pompeii connects inspired onlookers across generations and civilizations. The relatively recently established exquisite towns of Positano (about 9 km to the west) and Amalfi (about 10 km to the east) continue this history, and are conveniently accessible by bus along the Amalfi Coast. Treat yourself to the comforts and pleasures of Gedoro, and to the wonders of its surroundings.

A winding scenic drive along the coastal road, known for its hairpin bends and spectacular views, takes visitors to Positano, Praiano, Amalfi and the spellbinding uphill town of Ravello, with its incomparable belvedere. Any of these popular resort towns along the coast are good bases for exploring the surrounding areas. Buses and ferries run frequently and are the most convenient way to reach other towns while avoiding what could be a challenging drive in the bustling summer traffic. Other excursion possibilities include a boat trip to the islands of Capri and Ischia, a visit to the vibrant cities of Napoli, Salerno, or the gracious Sorrento, or an exploration of Pompeii and Herculaneum - the fascinating ruins of ancient cities destroyed by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in the 1st century A.D.
The Amalfi Coast offers an abundance of cafes, shops, art galleries and restaurants on its vertical terrain. Most beaches are small pebble inlets of land thus the best way to enjoy the sand and the turquoise water is to tour the area by boat (ask our concierge about it!) and let an expert local captain take you to his favorite spots or suggest the best seaside restaurants. A memorable experience!
