We were 12 in search of a home base for a week spent on Tuscan backroads, but what we found was a home--a beautifully appointed, beautifully renovated, incredibly comfortable home. Mornings with coffee at the grand table in the middle of the garden, overlooking one of the staggering panoramas I've ever seen...afternoons in the pool or walking with the cows and goats and sheep that roam past the front gate...evenings with a personal chef (hired from her own Michelin-starred restaurant down the road) using the vegetables growing all about you for your dinner...it was all a most lovely dream. I could not recommend Poderosa highly enough. The pictures don't do it justice, and dealing with the folks at Bravo/VillaRental.com made it all perfect. Just perfect.

Thank you

Thank you so much for sharing your magnificent home with us. This has been such a wonderful escape from reality. The house, garden, cows, and surrounding area are beautiful and charming and we are so sad to leave! We loved picking vegetables from the garden to make our lunches and we had Iside come cook dinner for us several times. We are trying to convince her to come back to the US with us! Drinking coffee on the back porch admiring the landscape was the perfect start to every day. The architecture and design of the house are spectacular. We felt comfortable and at home from the moment we got here. We feel very fortunate to have spent a week of our lives here and will always cherish the memories made here. We are already planning our visit here! Grazie!

Thank you

The impressive views of Val d'Orcia, which inspired so many Renaissance painters, is dotted with little villages, castles, abbeys and hamlets, each telling a fascinating ancient story. Time here can still pass slowly and you can enjoy every second of it.
Visit the famous town of Montalcino, best-known for the distinguished Brunello red wine, and the artistic jewel town of Pienza, which was used as a backdrop to Franco Zeffirelli’s masterpiece: “Romeo and Juliet”. The walled hilltop medieval town of Montepulciano, the picturesque Cetona, the charming thermal villages of San Casciano dei Bagni and Bagno Vignoni are also well worth a visit.
To explore Florence on a day trip, the best way is to leave your car at the Chiusi-Chianciano train station and hop on one of the many trains to Florence - Santa Maria Novella Station (they run every hour and in less than two hours you are in Florence’s historical center).
